The unrivaled design allows for ALL 4 nitrogen gas or oxygen gas cylinders to be lowered or lifted into position by a single person at the same time, added options include Haskell Intensifier, Earth Bonding Reel, Auto-rewind hose(s), bespoke paint colour and customer logos.

FedEx World Wide Fleet Equipment Engineering were in discussion with Newbow Aerospace for a considerable period of time to determine exactly what product would be best suited to the companies fleet of aircraft and their ground operations. 

Given the sheer volume of aircraft that FedEx operate, along with the extremely tight turnaround times required, it was decided that the ‘easy-load’ oxygen service carts were clearly the best solution available within the aviation market place.

The ‘easy-load’ service carts chosen by FedEx allow provision for all four cylinders to be loaded or unloaded at the same time, thus saving the operator or user a considerable amount of effort and time. Each cart will be provided with a high specification intensifier (booster) to ensure the airline uses all available gas from within the gas cylinders it uses. The complete system is then safely and easily operated from the superior charging panel which incorporates self venting regulators and quick acting valve technology. To compliment each cart, auto-rewind charging hose reels and retractable earth bonding reels will be provided.

This milestone contract clearly demonstrates the progression and drive Newbow Aerospace Ltd has made over the past 24 Months since the introduction of it’s larger ground support equipment product lines.

Karen Lumley, Member of Parliament for Redditch County took time away from her busy schedule to have a tour around the Newbow Aerospace facility, gain an insight into the companies business and learn how the company is going from strength to strength during these tough times.

In 2007 Newbow Aerospace Ltd was subject to a MBO (Management Buy Out) and has since been headed by Ronald Stilliard, Managing Director and Marc Green, Sales Director.

Over the past five years, during economic downturn, the management team have diversified their business model, streamlined operations and as a result of this action, increased turnover, product portfolio and number of employees year on year.

Karen was pleased to learn that Newbow Aerospace is a local SME within the Redditch & Worcestershire district that is growing at a fast pace during these economic tough times. In addition to this, approximately 65% of Newbow Aerospace’s business relates to export sales which clearly demonstrates how pro-active the company really is on a global scale.

During Karen’s visit, she discussed the topic of banks and available funding assisting SME’s and if this had at all helped Newbow Aerospace Ltd. Ronald Stilliard, Managing Director commented ‘ Since the MBO in 2007, the banks have not helped us (Newbow Aerospace) in the slightest. The government are stipulating that funding is readily available for SME’s, but as a business, we find this funding and assistance to be transparent and none existent. Whilst our business is in a very strong position on a steep upward curve and growing at a quick pace, any additional funding and assistance from the banking sector would clearly allow us to grow our business even faster and create even more job opportunities’.  

Karen Lumley will now be liaising direct with the UK Chancellor where Newbow Aerospace Ltd will be used as a successful case study within the SME sector.

TWO 40ft articulated vehicles were required to transport the vast GSE package from Newbow Aerospace Ltd to the freight agents facility where the equipment would be separated for global distribution.

Over the past 12 Months Etihad Airways have standardised their GSE and now use the high quality equipment manufactured by Newbow Aerospace at ALL of their global line stations and maintenance facilities.
